Elements from this original print were both hand painted and created digitally. A story from my childhood about an underwater garden has always come to mind when looking at rock pools. I love the treasures you can spot : anemones, shells, flower-like seaweed, sea glass, patterned fish, crabs, etc. Inspired by the beauty of this, I created a pattern with a mix of shapes to try to capture the whimsical nature of tidepools (called rockpools in Australia). I used pinks, purples and lots of greeny blues for the colour palette, on a background of light grey.
